I’ve been craving ramen for a while now and after reading many positive reviews I decided to order at Bowls. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I will never order here again. We’ve ordered 3 different ramen soups: the tofu, the miso and tenderloin. The tofu broth tasted okay-ish but most of all it tasted like a broth made from powder. I couldn’t finish the mushrooms in the soup because they tasted very off, as if they were too old to consume. The miso soup was definitely not miso! I’ve had many many manyyyyy miso soups in my life in Japanese restaurants and this is not miso. The broth tasted weird and again; very off? As if they had to get rid off all their old ingredients. I didn’t eat the tenderloin but according to my partner the soup was mediocre. I felt bad after this disappointing experience that had cost me 125 guilders! Mennn, a cup of instant noodles would’ve been a better investment.
One star because they were so kind to bring me the ginger ale...
Read moreWe went on a normal weekday to try out this new restaurant and booked a table at 19:00. Although we received a very heartly and welcoming entrance, the wait to receive our first bowls of noodles/ramen was 50 minutes. This is too long for just a bowl of noodles. We were expecting to be surprised about the taste but it was unfortunatedly very blent, with no enhancers available on the table. The noodles/ramen were also overcooked and that should not have to be. We wish the new owner's couple all the success in the world with their unique ramen shop, but they have to asked for feedback from new customers coming in, to hear if they need to improve how/what to have customers returning to their ramen shop and keep enjoying their food. We have tried it now and based on our first experience we would not try it again, because of the wait and the blent taste without having taste enhancers on the table such as...
Read moreI'm sort of addicted to ramen, so I was very happy to hear that there was a good ramen shop on the island. First chance we had, we gave it a shot and I was plesently surprised. The ramen is quite good and the service is very good.
I have been here one's a week for 3 weeks and have tried something different from the menu every time. So far I have had the pork ramen, the beef ramen and the shrimp wonton. My favorite is the (spicy) shrimp wonton.
I recommend a fisit to...
