Owner/Chef Ivo and Chef Marco Coppens have a phenomenal restaurant. Ivo gave us a private tour of the entire property including the kitchen and the wine cellar- the only one in a Curaçao restaurant!! The atmosphere is upscale but homey, the service was excellent and the food quality- wow, even the background music volume was perfect imho.! I'm gluten and lactose free - this is one of the few restaurants that took the time to speak with me, accommodate my needs, they make their own gluten free bread! and they made a special dessert just for me (yes, I made reservations and noted my gf/df but honestly many restaurants don't pay attention and most don't have a dessert available even with reservations/advance requests). We tried: • Duck breast with sauerkraut, parsnip purée, and pork belly • Whole shrimps with black squid ink pasta, spinach quiche, sea trout, and mussels • Homemade mushroom ravioli with ricotta, truffle, and tomato sauce • Onion soup with Gruyère and thyme
The crispy duck breast with its slightly sweet combined with the savory pork belly and silky parsnip was an unforgettable combination. The fresh, house-made squid ink tagliatelle were also outstanding.
