MUNCHIES CURAÇAO — Restaurant in Curaçao

Munchies We were looking forward to going here for a year—since our last trip to Curacao—since the photos of the food and the drinks looked yummy and the space looked cute.

When we finally made it there two days ago it was such a disappointment. Since they didn’t have any way to get more detailed information than what was on Google-they do not have a website, they do not answer their phone, they do not answer their messages or respond to chat—we figured the photos represented their menu accurately.

When we got there, we were told we could no longer get pancakes because it wasn’t the breakfast menu anymore, despite the fact that the breakfast menu was up on the screen in the restaurant and it was just barely past noon.

We all felt the staff had a really unpleasant attitude about serving us. We’re trying to help us in anyway. For a place like Curacao, this is really unusual as most people are super friendly and it’s a very laid-back island.

Without the pancakes, there was nothing on the menu for me to eat, as there is a radical difference between the pancakes and the other things on their menu.

I found out about Munchies via Instagram prior to our Curacao visit. We ended up visiting 2 times during our 1 week stay, both visits I enjoyed the food. I wanted to come for a 3rd and last visit, but ended up not being able to anymore.

Altogether we ate almost all their options of pastechi's, the mini cereal pancakes and the bao's (no pictures unfortunately). I enjoyed the vegetarian pastechi's that I had, which were the white cheese and curry lentil. My hubby had the chicken and pork pastechi's. For the boa's I had the tempeh option and my hubby had the kfc chicken option and I got really jealous when seeing and smelling his! Per boa order you get 2 boa's and they're very filling and yummy!

Munchies' service is great, sweet ladies that work there, who keep the establishment looking pristine and do a great job with the food presentation, I'm so disappointed in myself I don't have pictures of the bao's, because they did such a great job on preparing those!

I am definitely visiting again on any future...

I had a great experience at MUNCHIES.

Out of ALL of the places in Curacao I've been to get healthy food, they offers the widest range of healthy food options.

But more importantly, they truly care about the quality you get.

Staff was friendly, interactive and super helpful.

Nageli and Celeste helped me choose what best suits my taste , because I could not make a decicion on what I might like. It was easy to make a decision from there.

I went with the "Korean Fried Chicken" (picture below) and "Red Cold Pressed Juice".

I really loved how I felt afterwards.

Healthy food = More energy = More things can get done more efficiently.

Planning on coming back soon to try the pastechi's next week
