Captain's Sportsbar & Grill — Restaurant in Curaçao

I live one minute away...and I will never go here again. The manager "mansplained" their 2 NAF discount happy hour a if it were astrophysics (yes, I get it, all drinks are 2NAF off during happy hour, I don't need you to go drink by drink saying, "This is 11NAF normally, and now it's 9..." We looked at the menu before we came (they have no proper website, so we found one on google), it mentioned a catch of the day. I asked for that, and the manager said, "This is a sports bar, not a seafood place", as if I were being ridiculous asking for something that was on the menu. I told him about the online menu and that he came at me pretty strongly for no reason, he apologized, but it was all downhill from there. I ordered food to-go, it wasn't busy and yet it took 45 minutes for a salmon dish. I ordered yuca fries...that never arrived. I asked for a drink and even took time to say the ingredients...he messed that up and told me if I wanted the drink the way I asked, it would be too expensive.

I rarely do negative reviews, but this place was such a turnoff, I would not want anyone...

We were in Curacao for the Big East NCAA men's basketball tournament championship game. As big Uconn fans, we HAD to see the game. It was on Fox sports and we were unable to get it at the Marriott. The morning of the game, we Googled sports bars and found Captain's. We called and it sounded like the owner/manager(?) Oliver was still at home. He was unfamiliar with the network but assured us that he would find it and have it ready for us. When we arrived he had it on 2 TVs for us. One outside on the patio and one inside. SCORE! Oliver is a man of his word. Because we had late dinner reservations we only had apps and drinks. Both were excellent and very fairly priced. The service was excellent. The clientele was all locals with a family type party in the back room. If you want to watch US sporting events and enjoy food and drinks, I highly recommend Captain's....

My husband and I, had the mixed ribs and chicken combo and chicken fajitas.. the ribs and chicken taste good..the portion of fries was huge! However the chicken fajitas came with good size condiments but the chicken wasn't enough to fill the 4 taco shells that came with it...also the chicken didn't had any fajita flavours, it was plain, I had to add salt to get some sort of taste from it! But if you want a really cold Amstel beer then here is the spot for it👍🍻. Services was a bit unstructured, just walk with some patience and all...
