Let me start off that Serafina has been on my list for about 3 years. I was so excited finally have the time to head over after booking a reservation. We were greeted right away and were given many great choices where to seat. I was served some table bread and noticed other tables had the same but with a compliment of Olive oil and salt and pepper which I was never offered. I was suggested some great wines which were great. I took and long good look at the menu all looked very delicious. I was very unclear who was actually my server I had about 2-3 different servers. Here's where the problem stared to develop. I was offered and explained the chef nightly specials which all sounded very nice I was sold The Lobster linguine. The dish came out look and smelled great however wheres the lobster? There was not they used Crawfish little baby tails 6 of them tasted great but it was not lobster for one and it was served with Spaghettini not Linguine even after I asked twice what kind of pasta was used for this dish. Next I was not given a pasta spoon to enjoy my pasta like other guest had! I was not offered Parmesan cheese or Black Pepper at a Italian restaurant ????? I ordered a desert some kind of lemon custard it was amazing. Here was my mind blowing issue ready!!!!!!!!
$53.00 x 2 just for the pasta dish with 6 Crawfish tails no lobster over spaghetti, not linguine. I used to working in the resturant business I get the food cost a profits ect but this is out of control in my opinion in my professional opinion, the cost of this dish just under $15. for what I was servived on the island .................. in closing Ive been visiting and dinning on the great I island of Curacao for 17 years This was the first ime in 17 years I was asked for a additional gratuity tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I alway trip as an American but this was the first time I was asked to on the island I was absolutely flabbergasted and guess what I still did, even though I did not feel satisfied with the food and the outrageous cost. There were New Zealand lamb chops on the menu that were $53 and I'm sure more satisfying than this fake lobster linguine meal I was served for $53 thats all I...
Read moreWe had the privileged of enjoying dinner at this great location. At arrival you are greeted by the owner who is so friendly and gives you a welcome vibe. The atmosphere is relaxing and also very romantic. Tip: do make a reservation because it gets very crowded. The staff is very helpfull, friendly and eager to assist with a smile. You can either order food to share or enjoy by yourself. The drinks are the right taste to keep the conversations lively. The food blew my mind, because it kept us craving for more. All portions are the right size. To get wake up your pallet, you get a complimentary garlic bread. Do keep in mind that the wait time between meals might take a bit longer due to how busy it might be. Plus the meals are made to other. The wait time will be worth it, because the meals are served warm. This gives you ample time to enjoy each others company and make room again in your stomach. I highly recommend it for a romantic evening with your date or just with...
Read moreSuch a beautiful, cozy Italian restaurant located walking distance from the Avila beach hotel I was staying at. I dined solo & was able to grab an outdoor table without a reservation around 7pm on a Friday. The white wine I got was a great fit for the meal I had and the starter of focaccia bread was baked to perfection. For my actual meal I got the calamari which were the biggest pieces of calamari I’ve ever seen battered and fried to crispy perfection. I followed that with the serafina parmigiana which was fried eggplant topped with sauce and cheese. Normally I love an eggplant dish, but the flavor was overwhelmed by a mountain of cold cheese sitting on top so I would probably skip this dish next time. I ended with a delicious seafood fettuccini that was to die for, definitely my favorite dish of the night. I would highly recommend you try this restaurant when visiting curaçao and I hope to come back...
