Fridays Baby Truck — Restaurant in Curaçao

We are locals revisiting the island so we tried out the food from this truck. Sadly the food was not the way we expected it to be, especially after reading lots of good reviews. Before ordering we asked the lady if they have karko (conch meat) and ribs available. She said yes and that the waiting time was about 30min. So we ordered 1 portions of karko plain and 1 portion of ribs with fries. In total we waited 1hr 15min, in which after we waited for 45min we asked the lady the food status. We clearly saw they forgot to make our order and our invoice hanging as last in order, at that moment they went to prepare our orders. We saw many people come in or call to order in between and their food was already ready within 30-45min. We even asked every 25-30min for the status, in which the lady stated the order is being prepared. They also prepare and hand out orders faster for frequent customers/ acquaintances who order last minute, which is a bummer. We were hoping the food was worth it after waiting for so long, unfortunately the karko we got was wayyy too overcooked, because they forgot the order they had to cook it quickly to serve it… Even tho it was chopped into the smallest pieces, the texture was so rubbery it was almost impossible to chew and digest it. The ribs were okay, it seemed like they cooked/ boiled the ribs first and then grill them afterwards with condiments, it lacked some flavors. My question is: if you knew you had to thaw the karko first, why not say it first? We would’ve ordered something else, that would’ve been absolutely no problem! In addition, there was a second chance by offering and asking us if we wanted to order something else instead. Because still at that point we wouldn’t have mind, as mistakes can happen. This is a very honest review: BE PREPARED TO WAIT AT LEAST AN HOUR FOR YOUR FOOD!! The way this business is set up is ridiculous this food truck has been up and running at least 5 + years with so many customers and they have the audacity to be working off of a small grill that can only handle but so many orders at once!! Its ridiculous!! For starters, they take online orders first so that makes the process even longer for you to get your food if you just walked up and ordered like I did.. I only ordered a steak wrap.. no fries no nothing else just a single steak wrap with steak lettuce and onions and it took a hour for me to receive my food!! No exaggeration!! I pray the owner reads this review please expand your business!! There needs to be two grills and two people working those girlls. one grill for online orders and the other grill for people walking up putting in their orders so everything can start moving faster and you can keep up with the demand more efficiently.. This is coming from a 1st time tourist visiting your business. I wouldn't recommend this spot unless some major changes are done to improve...

Fridays baby truck has nice food good taste but small portions, their website offers options to remove or add certain things like lettuce and tomatoes but even if you choose those they are still added or left out, they have a delivery service which i used and was more than dissapointed, hungry and fuming. I put my delivery order in around 8, with my exact location and the delivery guy called almost 2 hours later telling me he cant find my house, fast forward a few minutes and the delivery guy calls back and has the audacity to rush me because "he has other things to do". If it wasnt clear from the review i will sum it up; small portions, slow service, and RUDE SLOW DELIVERY. Will NEVER GO BACK, i hope they improve and educate their delivery drivers that customers pay...
