With its friendly personnel, mouth-watering cuisine, top-notch quality, and inviting ambiance, this restaurant is sure to satisfy your cravings.

From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. The friendly personnel will guide you to your seat and make you feel right at home. They are always ready to answer any questions you may have about the menu.

With an extensive menu that features a variety of dishes, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty pasta dish, a flavorful steak, or fresh seafood, you'll find it all at Zest. And if you're looking for something a little lighter, the salads and appetizers are equally delicious.

Finally, the ambiance at Zest is simply chill. Unfortunately the seating is not very comfortable, however if you ask for pillows they are happy to get some. The overall vibe is relaxed and inviting.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a restaurant that combines friendly personnel, tasty food, quality, and ambiance, look no further than Zest. With its welcoming atmosphere, delicious cuisine, and top-notch service, it's no wonder why this restaurant has become one of...

I do not recommend this restaurant : Zest Restaurant on the beach Jan Thiel for this reason:

Once arrived I speak with employee, he mentions that there is a fee to use their chairs after discussing with my friends we decided to use their chairs so I take the money and head towards the small office to pay the lady but on site mentions that ultimately it is free..she scratch a name on the list and writes my name, subsequently I return to spend the afternoon but once the day is over, I return office to pay for our 3 drinks, they charge me + 46 Florin ($35 CAD) for the chair.. I explain that the other employee had mentioned the free chair to me because this one had not been reserved. The employees did not want to understand our point of view. We had to pay despite everything 😡 I don't recommend this place which abuses tourists and sells drinks for $18 CAD.

I know that initially we agreed to pay for the chair, that's not the problem, but when someone tells me something and then it's different, it's annoying, it's a question of principle....

I must have eaten here 8-10 times over the 2 weeks that I stayed in Papagayo. The service was typical island slow but the food was always amazingly delicious. I highly recommend the Tuna Burger. A bit pricey, as sides are ordered separately but sides are portioned BIG.

Only issues I had while eating here was one time a waitress told our table of 6 that we were not allowed to get any tap water and that we'd need to order bottled water. It was really out of the ordinary and odd because we had all ordered alcohol and food and didn't understand why we were denied some water. The other issue was I had a Visa Electron card and the card reader would not read my card, so each time I ate there I had to get the manager to go find the reader that did work which oftentimes was at the Zest Mediterranean Restaurant up...

We went to Zest for both dinner and breakfast. This review is based on our last experience when we had breakfast today. The spot is remarkable and the food is prepared with care. However, the service was below par. The staff simply wasn't paying attention to their guests. It took 25 minutes and two questions before we finally ordered. Same story for the follow-up orders. It wasn't even busy with just under 50% of the tables occupied and there were more than enough staff members. Those staff members simply decided to prioritize other things than helping guests. @The staff - get your act together. You have the brilliant opportunity to work in a very inspiring environment where you can give your guests beautiful experiences. Seize this opportunity!

The beach area near Zest offers a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the scenery. Over the years, however, the area has become more crowded with the addition of numerous beach beds. While this provides ample seating, it has also made the beach feel less exclusive compared to previous visits. Previously, the beach had a more serene and exclusive ambiance, making it a perfect retreat. Now, with the increase in beach beds, it has become more common and busier, which might not appeal to those seeking a more tranquil experience. Despite this, it remains a great place to hang out with both young and older kids. The lively atmosphere and ample seating make it enjoyable for families to spend time together by the water.

Surprisingly great dinner even without a reservation (and one of the relatively few restaurants open for dinner on Sunday). We had the salad with fresh veg from their garden along with the veg risotto. We also got a complimentary appetizer and the chocolate lava cake, which was excellent. Nice view of the beach/sunset, friendly and accommodating service (just be patient if you’re American, because nothing is very fast on island time), and family-friendly. Easy parking as well.
