La Terrazza Bilthoven — Restaurant in De Bilt

This was a restaurant where we went to often. Also before, at the original location where their parents ran a pizzeria. Always good food and nice staff. Now we had a less nice experience. New staff, unexperienced, which is basically not an issue, but the owner, well known to us, acted as if it business as usual, where it was obvious not. After several “unpleasant” moments and mistakes e.g. wrong dish served, we would expect the owner to acknowledge the inconvenience. This was not the case at all. Instead he refused the tip at the moment payment and when I referred to the old staff, I was told to call them(?). I think I will give it “google” effort to do so, maybe they are working in a restaurant or know a place where customers are still...

Have ordered several times and the pizza is nice, the delivery guy is very friendly and delivery is made within the stated time frame.

That said, and the reason i cant go to 4 or 5 stars yet for the food is because the delivered pizzas almost feel like they spent too little time in the oven, with the centre of pizzas being doughy instead of firm. I have observed this with my orders, and delivered orders while at my friends house.

Maybe its a different experience in the restaurant, ill need to check it out one day and adjust accordingly.

PS i do not mind longer waiting for a fully cooked pizza to be delivered,...

Mooie locatie op het plein in Bilthoven. Sfeervol ingedeeld van de stoelen, krukken en sofa's, Keuzes uit hoge of lage tafels. We moesten wel lang wachten op het voorgerecht. Nadat we navraag deden, blijkt er een grote groep bedient moest worden waardoor we langer moesten wachten. Wij kozen voor een 2persoons voorgerecht met gekruid brood. Een goede keuze want we waren voldaan nadat de platter op was. Ondanks dat we met vier personen zijn. Sorry vergeten een foto te maken van de platter. De opmaak was beautiful. Na een paar lekkere bockbiertjes kregen we het hoofdgerecht. 2x pasta en 2x pizza (zeevruchten en een ansjovis met extra topping). Niet te vergeten een heerlijke salade. De geserveerde tafel oliëen zijn zeker de moeite waard om te proeven. De gerechten zijn smaakvol en je proeft wat je eet. Zoals je misschien weet heb ik ervaring ermee dat dit niet vanzelfsprekend is (eyewink). De pizza's hebben een dunnere bodem dan wat ik eerder had gegeten (gelukkig niet zo dun als een Turkse pizza). Ik dacht namelijk bij het aansnijden dat de pizza een extra harde bodem had maar dat was het bord. Na een paar rose, toetje (espresso met ijs) en kop koffie. Hebben we het diner afgesloten
