Lovely old fashioned feel to this hotel which makes for a relaxing stay. The decor is a little dated, but that just adds to the charm. We had a large double room complete with matching wingback chairs, dressboy and fireplace. The bathroom was very clean and the hot water (once it arrived) plentiful. The communal areas and dining rooms were a visual delight with wooden beams everywhere and an amazing assortment of paintings and decorative items on the walls and ceilings. A cosy corner by the fire place for an after dinner coffe was a marvelous way to end off an extremely good dinner. Good food at an affordable price with amazing service. Staff work as a well oiled team during a very busy dinner shift, yet still take the time to make suggestions or have a brief chat. Reception staff were also very welcoming and professional. Our family of three stayed 10 nights for our family vacation in Holland, November 2013. The highlight , was the staff who were amazingly warm and very welcoming. The manager of the restaurant was exceptional, we had remembered her from a previous trip to Holland two years before. She was the reason we chose to return again for a longer stay. We absolutely fell in love with her wonderful personality and smile. The food in the restaurant was very good and fresh and service excellent.||The rooms in the hotel need updating inside and are in need of a few extras. The bathroom very nice. It was very nice to have a laundry room for all to use.
