I'm quite surprised to see this restaurant receiving such high ratings on Google Maps, especially after my disappointing experiences on both of my visits. During my first visit, I tried the Beyti and Lahmacun, while on the second visit, I ordered the İskender Kebap. Let me start by discussing the interior design, which features a fusion of Middle Eastern and Arabic elements, creating an authentic Middle Eastern vibe. When I arrived with my friend without a reservation, we were asked to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes, which was not too bad. Once we had placed our order, the staff requested that we move to another table, which we obliged. However, they asked us to switch tables repeatedly throughout our meal, which was not ideal.
The food arrived after a lengthy wait of 40 minutes, but unfortunately, the Lahmacun was terrible, and I was unable to finish it. It appeared to be store-bought rather than homemade, perhaps from Albert Heijn. As for the Beyti, it was made using Adana/Urfa kebab wrapped in lavaş, but the meat was so dry that even the tomato sauce could not moisten it. The rice and salad that accompanied it were average, but nothing special. When I requested Ayran, they brought me a warm one, and when I asked for a cold one, they informed me that they did not have any. I was forced to switch to a different drink.
While we were eating, we were asked once again to move tables, but I declined this time as it was inappropriate to ask customers to move every 20 minutes. The İskender Kebap was average, and it should have come with bread underneath it, but it didn't. We decided to leave early without ordering dessert or tea, as the constant requests to move tables made our experience uncomfortable.
Lastly, I would like to point out that the hygiene standards were below par, and this is not a place I would recommend to others. I was astonished to see such positive reviews for this restaurant, as there are far better options available. This was my second and last visit to...
Read moreUpdate: still good in the evening, but daytime not that good. Food not ready grilled even been open for hours, service is much slower. Some staff areon their phones instead of taking care of customers.
The experience and service really depends on who is working, but mostly good. I usually ordee he same there, but my family has tried different foods and like it a lot. But sometimes too salty. The ready dishes they ordered a few times. Lentil soup was good, but the other stew, way too salty. I also think some of the ready dushes are too expensive. The rice fex. We go there a lot, mostly very happy with the place. Friendly staff most of them, a few are very service minded and very friendly. It is definately a place i would advice people to go to. My family loves the beyti kebab, chicken shish, kip döner plate. They also give haydari/cacik and ezme when you sit down. Much appreciated. Give it a try, i am pretty sure you...
Read moreUnfriendly service. When we arrived with a reservation for 3, we were asked to wait for spots to free up. It was clear that they did not take us seriously. They didnt check on our name, nor did they have a table for us.
When finally being given a spot, and ordered our food, we had to ask twice whether our food was coming. Both times I got the reaction that they'd look at it, but neither times they actually checked on the food nor reported it back to us.
We were asked to leave our spots for a family of 6 whilst waiting for our food for 15 minutes. In the end they got their food (before us) in another 15 minutes while we had to wait 50 minutes in total. After waiting for our foods for so long, we got our çağ kebap, which tasted like ordinary yaprak döner.
The bathroom was also very dirty. The floor was filled with something I hope was water. The toilets were filled with human feces and hair.
One of my worst...
