Shufu Cuisine — Restaurant in Groningen

I used to give 5 stars before, but after today I took 2 of. The food was very good as I used to of them, but there is a but this time. They have weekend prices (29.50) and lower prices for during the week, today it's Monday and the price should be 27.50 a person. They work with tablets were you can order your food on, you can see the history what you ordered and also the bill ( rekening) is visible when you click it. And this said 2 adults weekend. The price is only 4 euro higher then it should have been but because it's not weekend I don't want to pay the weekend price so I mentioned it before paying. I said I did see one thing and click on bill(rekening) and before I could show him what I mentioned he already says oooh I change that for you. He knew already it said the weekend price before seeing it. So that gave me the feeling that they do this on purpose, everybody who doesn't see this pays 2 euro to much during the week. And with hundreds of people eating here during the week that's a lot of money. So all I can say is when you go eat here, enjoy the food, but check the bill...

The food is great, the price is ok, and you can only order bottled water.

Service can fall behind, but they will eventually get you everything you ordered. They try to earn money on drinks so they will only serve water you pay extra for. Overall, the drinks were pretty good, though the cocktails were a bit lacking.

The really amazing part is that you can stay as long as you like, which means you can have the exact evening you wish to have with your friends and family. If you're a big eater, this place is magical. The food is all handcrafted and from the owners personalised menu. Quality is simply amazing.

They have a specialised gluten-free menu for those who ask for it and deliver you gluten-free soy for the table. Which is great service overall. I do wish they loaded a gluten-free menu on the tablet instead of a side menu that gave you instructions on how to get gluten-free options. It did feel a bit finnicky, but the attention and service were...

Edit: quality is getting badder, just as the price goes more up. Also a lot of things are just not real Asian, like the kimchi. It's focused on the Dutch people who don't know what real sushi and Asian food tasted like. Sorry to say but it's true. The guy at the counter is as always very friendly so he gets 5 stars.

Lots of good choices! To be honest I expected an ordinary 'vreetschuur' but they've changed since the rebuild. Really enjoy eating here, but do expect not to have contact with staff. It's just ordering by a tablet, staff will clean up and on and on. Rounds have a few max order. The dishes are diverse. Staff is friendly but sometimes they forget to being something we ordered from a round, like all these places do sometimes. But hey, there are enough rounds to re order ☺️

Only thing it doesn't get a 5 star is because it's getting more...
