My wife and I attended a performance by Andre Rieu at the Vrijthof in Maastricht and decided to stay overnight at this quaint B&B run by Bjorn and Annoeska. The room wasn't ready until 3:00pm but we sat down at the outdoor terrace for a drink.||Our room No. 4 was on the topfloor, two flight of stairs up, so this room may not be suitable for elderly people. But the room was excellent: a large room with a large modern en suite bathroom. The room wasvery clean and well-equipped: fridge, TV, coffee machine, electric water kettle, and Airconditioning. We were here on a hot day, and while the room is situated just under the roof it could have been uncomfortably hot during the night. But the airco worked very well: so no sweat! We had problems in the use of the WiFi.but didn't ask the management for help.||Breakfast was excellent. Parking is free in front of the B&B and adjoining streets from 18:00 till 12:00 noon next day. Mensen het eten was heerlijk en de bediening was prima. Toen de rekening kwam keurig netjes betaald, maar toen wij in ons vakantie huisje kwamen zagen wij dat de serveerster niet de 3 gangen menu had aangeslagen . Alles was a la carte aangeslagen en er was dus € 37 te veel gerekend. Vandaag meteen gebeld en daarna langs gegaan. Ineens hadden wij niet aangegeven dat wij het 3 gangen menu wilden bestellen terwijl dat zeker wel gedaan was. De chefkok zei dat het ons woord tegen dat van hun was en dat wij niets terug kregen. Dit niet geaccepteerd en toen zei deze man dat ik de bon maar meteen had moeten controleren. Daar heeft hij een punt, maar na een gezellig avondje vergeet je dat wel eens na veel getouwtrek wilde hij de helft terug geven toen bleek het 3 gangenmenu ineens geen €32,50 te zijn, staat buitenop een doek en op hun site aangegen, maar € 34,95 te zijn. Dat komt volgens deze man doordat de prijzen van de producten elke keer veranderen en de juiste prijs op de menukaart staat ik wees hem er op dat ze dat dan moeten aanpassen op de site en buiten op het doek, maar dat was te veel moeite en koste te veel geld. Na veel vijven en zessen de helft terug gekregen, maar hij rekende wel in zijn voordeel. Ik ben toen maar boos weggelopen want ik stond te koken.
