Nancy's Haarlem — Restaurant in Haarlem

After eating here more than 20 times, I’d say my review is long past due. Here goes:

You will be hard pressed to find a better restaurant and eating experience in all of the Netherlands. It starts with the people - this is a family run restaurant and the service is second to none. They make you feel like an old friend the moment you walk in the door and put so much thought and care into every moment you’re there.

The son and chef Sander will come out to speak with you about the special ingredients used in your dish, and the methods he used to prepare it. Speaking of Sander, he is a master. Every dish I have eaten there has been incredibly tasty and he continues to try new things and hone his craft. And there are delicious options for everyone no matter your dietary restrictions and preferences.

This is a great place to come for coffee, dessert, brunch (amazing all-you-can-eat deal!), lunch, or dinner; on a date or with a group of friends. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I also love the cozy atmosphere, both inside and outside.

If you haven’t been here then stop hesitating and try it! I can almost guarantee it will become one of your new favorite places in the Netherlands. And make sure you book a table in advance because they are getting...

Fantastic food, great flavors, really cute inside and friendly service. Zeker een aanrader! Usually I'm skeptical about this sort of Dutch place because sometimes they throw some arugula on top of an open face sandwich and charge you €14 for it. This is NOT that - fresh food well seasoned. And it's family owned!

Edit after a year: we have continued coming here, including for birthdays and to celebrate our wedding. It's just as good as ever, the rotating menu keeps surprising, and the bottomless brunch is an insanely good deal. One thing I would change is that a few times we've come recently, there have been a couple steak dishes on the menu and no pasta dish (or the pasta was sold out), which is a shame as the menu is already fairly small and I...

We went to Nancy's with such a high expectation from all the great feedback from other clients, and I have to be honest, it wasn't just met but exceeded!

Starting from the service, the staff was super welcoming and just greeted us after a few minutes we walked in. The buzz inside is "warm", it really feels like stepping in someone living room where some friends are having good time.

The brunch and mimosa are truly bottomless and they are not afraid of asking if you want more even after getting a good amount of drinks and food.

The food is super tasty. Nice size portions, lovely sauces and seasoning and different options from savoury to sweet.

We can't wait to try the dinner menu soon and come back with some more friends for another...
