De Kluis Eten & Drinken B.V. — Restaurant in Heusden

We were reccommended here by the hotel we were staying in a short distance away. We were a group of 7, 3 adults and 4 children (11, 11, 10 and 5) . We had all just arrived from the UK and met at the restaurant. We drink our first round of drinks and then one of the 11 year olds topped up her drink from a bottle she had bought with her. The waitress saw and said we weren't allowed. We apologised. She came out again and said they will be charging us for another drink because we had bought our own. We thought this was unreasonable so we asked if we could take the extra drink home with us. She came out a third time and said the manager had reviewed and retracted the charge for the extra drink! It made the atmosphere poor, we didn't buy any other drinks and with a bill of €180, we won't be returning. Very...

We were travelling from France on the 29 to the 31 march. We were very lucky to find this place. Food is delicious, not expensive, and personal warm despite the fact we are strangers and don’t talk the local language, they were all very welcoming and nice people. De Kluis is een erg gezellig restaurant met een mooi, luxe, rustgevend interieur, super bediening en heerlijk eten. Je kunt altijd rekenen op een top ervaring bij De Kluis, omdat de staf zo attent is en de gerechten zorgvuldig gemaakt zijn met goede ingrediënten. Je voel je echt thuis bij De Kluis! Voor de lunch raad ik het twaalf uurtje vis, de carpaccio of brood met gebakken champignons aan. Voor het diner sowieso of de truffel burger of de vis die op dat moment op de kaart staat. Ik heb de garnalen spiesjes in een pikante Thaise marinade tientallen keer besteld met heel veel plezier! Heerlijk! En alle soorten vis - die wisselen met de kaart en de seizoenen - zijn altijd perfect gebakken. De porties zijn perfect groot en frietjes zijn erg lekker!
