De Smidse — Restaurant in Hilversum

De Smidse, it's my favourite place to have a bite to eat when shopping in Hilversum. They have a classic menu with plenty ( not too many ) options. Friendly service and quick kitchen all add up to a perfect lunch with my wife on an amazingly sunny day.

Pricing is spot on and worth every penny you spend here.

I had the luxe broodje warm vlees and my god it's a good meal. Got me through the day whilst walking about the city.

Worse pannenkoeken eaten in the Netherlands. The pancake mix/batter seemed not to be cooked properly and the taste was horrible. I have tried many pancake places in the Netherlands but this one is the worse. Lots of mosquitoes around quite annoying when eating out. On the other hand, location is really nice on a sunny day. Good choices of beer and spirits. Good selection of salads and vegan option...

Wonderful little restaurant off the main square with really friendly service and a wholesome menu with a variety of dishes.
