Jimix Bar Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Hilversum

The food was amazing. I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend and had the pleasure of experiencing Jim’s incredible and creative cooking. Jim categorizes his dishes into five different elements, each representing a different type of food. For instance, the element “water” is represented by fish dishes (sushi is separate from the elements though).

We chose one dish from each element, except for water (because we wanted sushi). We were pleasantly surprised by both the presentation and the taste of the food. Everything was exceptional, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Jim also personally visited some tables to showcase and explain the dish which was really cool!

We highly recommend this restaurant and will likely return to try more dishes...

This was beyond delicious. Every single plate we tried was so good and full of flavor. The shrimp curry was unreal and honestly I could drink a whole bowl of just that. The ribeye sushi was rich and nicely balanced, the oysters were super fresh with unique toppings, and the salmon melted in my mouth. Chef Jim really nailed it with every dish we had. The cocktails were just as impressive too. The espresso martini and the Shanghai one were some of the best I’ve had. Shout out to our waiter Russell who gave us the best recommendations, and the wine we had was also spot on! This place is absolutely worth it and easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had...

This was our second time here. Really great food; Japanese, south East Asian fusion .. our fussy kids enjoyed the food and licked their bowls clean! It is hard to get Asian food at such quality here in Hilversum and Jimix definitely ticks all the boxes.

This restaurant is definitely on the pricier side but we feel it’s worth it.
