We had an excellent experience this evening.

Youngest kid wanted pasta as dinner for her birthday so we selected a random Italian restaurant in town to celebrate.

She ended up having a pizza, but we made good on the pasta :) I had salmon (week dish) on pasta and both tasted great. My wife really enjoyed her Pappardelle with truffle as well. The young one was surprised with a small gift along with her pizza, which obviously made it all feel just that little bit more special.

Come time for dessert, the young one was sang to by the whole restaurant and for once finished dessert clean. My wife had the tiramisu which was great. I had the warm apple pie with ice cream and that was absolutely fabulous.

The interior looked nice and fresh, staff was absolutely brilliant. Very nice gesture was that the cook came to our table to congratulate the birthday girl.

Because our kids can't stay in their seat fire more then 10 minutes (if that), the basement playground was well visited and as I understood very well enjoyed!

The location (next to train tracks) isn't too inspiring, unless you're really into trains that is, but there is little to no disturbance from the trains when seated inside so not much of an issue.

There is free parking on premise, which is very good as parking in Hilversum centre can get very expensive.

All in all we had a very good meal and a very enjoyable time for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place if your out in Hilversum and looking for a...

I gave 2 stars because the food was good. but I could also give one star because the service was horrible! In the beginning they when nice, we came with our kids..small age we got served with food and drinks. and then the crew just disappear and decided to seat on a table and eat and celebrate the owner birthday. with all do respect for the owner birthday, we had to seat with a dirty table without nobody coming to ask how we doing or to clean our table . after my husband finished his first dish he wanted a second meal, nobody was around everyone sitting to eat and ignored us. after a while a woman came and take my husband order, and said that we need to wait 10 minutes because the chef is eating. I’m sorry I never heard about a client seating in a restaurant and need to wait for the chef to finish to eat his dinner. its disrespectful and embarrassing. after we waited long time the food arrived. without cleaning the table, or ask if want dessert. after we finished, the kids wanted ice cream and my husband had to go to the table of the employees and ask for ice cream, nobody looked at him only after a minute a guy came and ask “now?” very disappointed. we will not go back again for sure. our kids wanted food and dessert and had to wait long time, and nobody seems to care about...

The worst spaghetti I ever had in last 17 years! I have been to this restaurant 3 times, every time i go for spaghetti AOP with shrimp, but except the first time i had in 2023 was perfect, the quality and taste is getting worse and worse. Today I got a portion with tasteless spaghetti sticky together with residual water soup and dry bieslook in the plate, no olive oil, no garlic and no parsley mixed at all. After I complained, they put some extra olive oil and garlic in made it even more wired. I can’t believe myself sitting in an Italian restaurant having this “spaghetti”. No one wants to pay for a spaghetti like this. However, the owner claimed the spaghetti is good, nothing wrong with it.

I read through the reviews here, it turned out to be that I am not the one only who complains their tasteless spaghetti.

You could go for homemade tiramisu, but don’t order spaghetti AOP!!!! If you want to have a decent spaghetti aglio e olio, go to Bussum. A well cooked spaghetti aglio e olio should be full flavor of baked garlic, enriched...
