As a newcomer to the Netherlands, Iāve been impressed by how safe and clean the tap water is hereāsomething many countries canāt offer. So, during our visit, I politely asked the staff if they could refill my young sonās water tumbler with tap water.
To my surprise, their response was that I should fill it from the toilet. As a parent and a guest, I found this answer quite disappointing and honestly a bit disrespectful. I understand if there are policies against refilling bottles, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessary and unkindāespecially to someone still adjusting to a new country and culture.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively. A little more empathy and a clearer explanation of restaurant policies would have made a big difference in how this...

Today we waited till 4:30 for the boat that is supposed to be here for 3:30, finally we decided to leave and there is no way to get refund right away.
