Bij Anton | Kaatsheuvel — Restaurant in Loon op Zand

The restaurant is very fancy but from my experience the service and the food was terrible and it's not a cheap restaurant so I was expecting much more for the food and for some quality service. Since the moment that we called per phone and asked if we should take food for our baby or if they have anything without salt or if we should take from our own and when we arrive it was a big mess because there was nothing without salt (on the phone we were been told that they could arrange some soup), so employers came to our table 3 times and on the end the chef needed to came to the table because of this miss comunication with the team however, it was very nice of him that he offered to do some puree with vegetables that they had (which my daughter didn't liked but its was very nice from him). We order entrecote medium rare but the meat was not sealed, we asked to take it back and to have another one because it also needed to be a bit more rare although the meat came the same way, as you can see on the image, did not have much flavor, still not sealed on outside, and was dry but we were so hungry and tired of that bad service that we ate that. For a 60€ meat I could do it better at home and...

We had a wonderful evening at Buge Anton on Saturday night. The restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere with stylish décor and great attention to detail. The staff were friendly and the service was spot on throughout.

There was a live band setting up while we were there, and although we couldn’t stay for the music (young kids and all that), it already sounded like it was going to be a fantastic night.

The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. I had the pork dish, my wife had the swordfish, and the kids enjoyed the classic Dutch sausage and chips – all absolutely delicious.

It wasn’t the cheapest night out, but the quality, ambience, and overall experience made it worth it. If we didn’t have the children with us, we’d have happily stayed for the music and another glass of wine!

Good burgers, good selection of beers on tap and ESPECIALLY a nice view towards the old fire station and town sqare. The selection of the foods could be more ample, though and translated into English. I give 4 STARS for the view over the town square.

(Modified to 1 STAR one week later because they didn't serve beer in 0.5 litre glass mugs, but in 0.25 litre plastics because it was a fair in the town square and people would presumable leave with their mugs.
