On my first day in Uden, I was looking for a casual yet satisfying lunch on a cool day, and I stumbled upon ’t Cafeeke. From the moment I walked in, the place had a warm and inviting charm, with its old-style pub decor creating a unique and nostalgic atmosphere. One of the standout details was a table built inside a fireplace, which added an extra touch of character to the place.

As someone who often travels solo, I prefer sitting at the bar, which isn’t always common in Europe. Fortunately, ’t Cafeeke had a proper bar setup where you could comfortably order food, making it feel even more welcoming.

For lunch, I ordered the onion soup and a pulled pork sandwich, and both were excellent. The soup was rich and flavorful, perfect for the chilly weather, and the pulled pork sandwich was well-prepared, with great seasoning and texture. They also took the time to plate everything nicely, which showed attention to detail beyond just taste.

Service was another highlight—the staff was friendly, efficient, and made me feel right at home. The food arrived quickly, but nothing felt rushed. It’s clear they put effort into both hospitality and quality.

Gisterenavond een Speciaslbier-proeverij in ‘t Cafeeke gehad. Wat ‘n geweldige avond. De presentator/brouwer vertelde over de geschiedenis, totstandkoming, bereiding en tonen van de bieren. Bij elk (6) speciaalbier een bij de smaak passend gerecht. De gerechten waren heerlijk bereid! De sfeer, de ambiance, de lekkere bieren en gerechten maakten de avond helemaal ‘af’.
