Brasserie De Conversatie — Restaurant in Maashorst

You should really give it a try !

I am traveling for work and ended in the Brasserie De Conversatie in the weekend. I loved it !

I’m always trying to be as objective as possible but here to be honest it’ll be hard to pin point bad things. I went twice there, twice had amazing meals lunches !

In short :

Food is really good and ingredients are well thought together Staff is SO nice it’s so enjoyable. Beautiful place, nicely decorated (that’s subjective though, but I liked it, it felt cosy) Prices : around 20€ each time for a drink, meal and coffee.

If I had ONE thing to add negative, and boy I had to think, It’s a pity that there is no English version of the menu, I had to translate everything through the google lens app (even though waitress was willing to help, I just didn’t want to lose their time )

All in all, very good place and I’ll sure come back...

We came to Uden for a day trip from Eindhoven. And this must have been the best thing in the trip.

The place is quite well-decorated, classy almost regal. We had to wait only a few minutes to get a table.

Service is friendly and efficient. We don't know Dutch but that didn't cause any hindrance.

And of course the food! We tried the Seeet potato-coconut milk-shrimp soup and the beef ragout. Both were amazing. The main dish, accompanying salads and dips all were really good. So was the wine (the red Italian).

All in all, a must-visit in our opinion and we'll visit again for sure.

P.S. the bill was refreshingly lower than what we expected so that's another...

Kom al jaren voor een winkeldagje in Uden, maar heb nooit geweten, dat dit restaurant hier zat! En we gaan altijd door de winkel, waar dit restaurant boven zit!? De Conversatie zit op de bovenste verdieping van modehuis Berden. Er is veel zitruimte en met mooi weer kan je zelfs buiten zitten.

Ik was zwaar verrast en kom zeker terug! Het was best druk en ik had al spijt, dat we waren gaan zitten. Ze zouden ons toch niet zien. Hoe mis had ik het? Er loopt een dame rond, die álles scherp in de gaten houdt en haar personeel keurig netjes aanstuurt.

Het personeel is vriendelijk en snel. En ik denk niet dat we ons eten ooit zo snel hebben gekregen! Net als de drankjes. Er waren een aantal dingen buiten de menukaart en we hadden een salade met biefstukpuntjes en dat was iedere euro waard!

Ik zag dat er tonijnsalade op de kaart stond, maar met een bagel en niet bij de broodjes. Als ik die combi wilde? Geen énkel probleem! En lekker! Beide gerechten waren écht verrukkelijk. Dit is hoe je een salade moet serveren: smaakvol, goede nette prijs en goed gevuld met veel vlees en extraatjes. Het werd geserveerd met brood en heerlijke kruidenboter.

Mijn tonijnsalade op het broodje? Daar zaten gewoon grote stukken tonijn los bij! Complimenten, nooit eerder gehad.

Een colaatje is een nette prijs en ónder de 3 euro. Glaasje wijn 5,50 is netjes voor de hoeveelheid die je krijgt. Als ik dan toch iets moet bedenken, wat ik persoonlijk minder vond? De tropical yellow smoothie? Die smaakte echt te veel naar banaan en was niet koud. Een volgende keer zal ik voor een andere gaan. Maar ik kom zeer zeker terug!
