La Belle Excuse 🇫🇷 — Restaurant in Nijmegen

I had (again) a very good time in this restaurant. The menu is suitable for everyone and is truly based on 100% french dishes ! The owner of the restaurant expalin to us that every week, he is going to France to bring the best products for his restaurant and this is definitely something you can taste in your plate ! One of the strength of the restaurant is that the menu is changing once in a while. The cheese degustation vary also from time to time which is an advantage for cheese lovers like me ! The atmosphere is really warmth and the staff is very polite and great to talk with. The owner of the restaurant is also very nice and discuss with the client and can advise you on the best wine for the dish you want !

Regarding the price, I think It's really reasonable since the quality is very high !

De uitstraling van het restaurant doet gezellig aan en de ontvangst was vriendelijk. Ik heb hier met mijn vriendin gegeten. Wij hebben hier gedineerd op een warme zomeravond en zaten in het achterste tuingedeelte. Helaas was er ook een grote groep aanwezig die bediend moest worden. Dit zorgde voor druk op het personeel waardoor wij lang op onze drankjes en gerechten moesten wachten. Om ons heen hoorde wij meermalen excuses. Als voorgerecht hadden wij escargots en een gazpacho. Deze gerechten waren goed. De keuze in de verschillende wijnen is top! Helaas kreeg ik een glas rode wijn geserveerd die veel te warm en dus niet op goede temperatuur was. Als hoofdgerecht hadden wij beide een entrecote. Deze was voor de helft doorbakken en de andere helft rauw. Daarnaast kregen wij in plaats van de aardappelpuree, friet op ons bord. De salade bestond uit een separaat kommetje met daarin een paar blaadjes sla zonder dressing of andere ingrediënten afgetopt met een snoeptomaatje. Eenvoudig en niet verrassend.
