The restaurant staff are completely uneducated, inexperienced, and rude. They have no idea regarding hospitality. We were in-house guests and reached the restaurant at 8:20pm for dinner. One waiter asked us to be seated. We sat and waited for the menu. No one was coming. Then another group came of 3 people and another waiter asked them to sit and gave them a menu card. We asked that waiter if we could also have a menu card, and he said, " No food for you, kitchen is closed," where he just served the menu card on another table. They didn't have any reservation either. No table was set for them. They also just walked in. I don't know why they differentiate like that. Don't know whether they were racist or not because I was the only brown person in the restaurant. When we went to the reception to complain about it, the waiter came behind us and was trying to argue and justify their behavior. She was extremely rude. So, I'm not eating here ever again and advising everyone to be careful with the...
Read moreThe surrounding are is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's such a shame that the food there is so disappointing.
We only had lunch there - a sandwich and a flamkuchen - so maybe dinner is better, but we'll never know as we're not coming back for food. The sandwich was passable, though the bread was not fresh. The flamkuchen was 'creative' but in a bad way. I could forgive random nuts on this dish, but having some kind of crispy, fried thing as the base does not work. It makes it impossible to cut and eat properly. The toppings were fine, and if you just stuck with the traditional way of flamkuchen base, this would have been a nice dish, but now it's another disappointment.
It's bizarre that such a beautiful place would have such mediocre cuisine, especially as it's not only a restaurant, but a hotel too. If they had a good chef, it could be a focal point of the whole area, but now it's only worth going for a stroll there and getting a drink at max, as...
Read moreWe arrived on Mother’s Day and ordered two frappuccinos with one being decaf.
The waiter came to us with our order and said that he had forgotten which is which and if that was ok. That was obviously not ok otherwise we would not have ordered a decaf. He then came back after checking and may or may not have handed us the. right ones. Then we didn’t get frappucinos but got iced coffees instead! How does a restaurant not know the difference???! I decided to then have my iced coffees instead quietly with no more requests. Alas, my iced coffee was so diluted that it was impossible to drink. What was supposed to be a nice morning turned out to be a disaster? Go at...
