Highly recommended! What a gem inside the forest! Really well made and 'gezellig', no wonder is elected as the top 15th terras in the Netherlands. I stayed there almost 4 hours enjoying the sun, fresh air, nice vibes among friendly people while waiting for my husband cycling (we had lunch there together beforehand, the bread is really nice) :) their signature cake is really nice with local honey and walnuts, sorry no photo as too difficult to resist from eating ;) Since Natuurmonumenten is about nature friendly, I like the idea of using rain water for the toilet; my advice is if also can extend to the restaurant to reduce waste e.g. disposal wooden spoon for butter? no excess food decoration . I'm looking forward to going back again in winter to enjoy their fireplace. P.S. Dont miss visiting the ijsvogel (fixed)...

We stopped by at Groot Speijck before heading for walk in the forest. At first glance we already like the ambience inside the restaurant. Enough Light and yet not too much, gives very cozy feeling. I bet it feels great in autumn and winter as well. We head to outside seating, and find it really comfy. Seating are placed not too close to each other and have more room to enjoy the forest outside.
