I’d rate it zero if I could. I tried to buy food, they told me it would be one price (menu was a bit vague on how many meatballs came in an order), but when I came to pay, they tried to charge me 3x what it said because I added more meatballs. I explained that the other employee was the one who said it was X number of meatballs, not me asking to add any, and the cashier became very hostile and rude. i asked her to confirm with her colleague who was standing 10 ft away, and she said something in Papiamento to me that I think included the word “estupido.” I told her I no longer wanted it (it was like $12 for 2 meatballs, sorry to be petty but it’s principle here, the menu stated it was $4) and she got even more mad stating she was going to call security. Note that I had said less than 20 words at this point, was very calm and kind, and was treated like I was making some crazy demands. I ended up just walking away and was told security would come find me (they never did, I was sitting less than 30 ft away). I get that these people probably hate working in these airport food joints, and I get that they probably deal with rude people often (again, I was not) but that doesn’t justify the aggressive behavior. She was even rude to the man who ordered in front of me, rolling her eyes at his request to have a different drink than what she took from the fridge. For anyone reading this who works there, this was at 1:15pm on 10/12/23. OJT is an outdated term, but it seems to be a needed practice at this joint.

Dec2023: 3⭐: again, I stopped by here to get a snack while waiting in the airport. Again, the pizzas were lukewarm and not hot as we expected. Again, I'm leaving a review similar to the one from two years ago that the food was not hot, but Luke warm. I noticed that, in the first visit and this one, the pizza crust was very hard. July 2021:3⭐: I stopped by here with my spouse to get a snack. We got two slices of pizza and a bottle of water for $20 bucks. My wife noticed that some of the other things appeared to be dried out and not appetizing. We bought the pizza items that appeared was being freshly prepared. The slices we picked were luke warm, we ate them. It's a bad thing being held captive at an airport where the only thing you have to eat is what's available and being sold by these airport restaurants.

Review of “Sbarro” at the Airport Honestly, this place is more like a Quiznos than a real Sbarro. The pizza was absolutely terrible. An 8-slice pizza costs around $27–$28, and a single slice of plain cheese pizza is $10—which is outrageous for the quality you get. Anyone who’s ever eaten at a real Sbarro knows that their pizza is usually good quality. This, on the other hand, tasted more like something you’d get from a bad fast food joint. I honestly don’t understand why they even call it Sbarro. If I had known it was going to be this bad, I wouldn’t have spent a dime. Ridiculously overpriced and very disappointing. I do not recommend it.

If I could give this place a negative ten, I would. Was traveling through Aruba’s International Airport today and witnessed an employee leave the women’s restroom without washing her hands. As she was exiting the restroom, I asked her if she could wash her hands as it’s unsanitary to use to restroom and not wash your hands (especially when you are handling people’s food). She quickly snapped back at me and stated “don’t worry about where I wash my hands.” Completely shocked, as I work in healthcare and hand washing is extremely important! I walked over to the counter and spoke with, what I think is the manager as she was dressed in a collared shirt, and informed her of the situation. She did agree with the need to wash your hands, but did not apologize for the situation. Be aware and stay away...
