Royaal Belegd in Sneek is one of my favourite places to eat lunch in the area of Sneek. It is pretty convenient to stop here when you are driving through Friesland, when you get of the ring it is a short distance and there is a comfortable parking nearby. In the old spot across the water from where they are now, it got crowded fast. Now they have some more seats available, but they fill up fast around lunchtime. The sandwiches are always tasty and are dressed up nicely. The coffee is also very decent.

Superb a place to be in Sneek. Get urself a coffee and enjoy the show. Menus are available in English and Dutch. Unfortunately not in German. Staff is friendly and speaks all mentioned languages. For a cappuccino with soymilk u have to pay 50cents extra that's strange these days. When a regular cappuccino is 2.50 u pay a whopping 3 eur. Being that said the rest is very reasonable priced. Inside they offer a lot of regional products.

In een uiterst relaxte sfeer heb ik hier bijzonder heerlijk gegeten. De bediening was geweldig prettig met een gulle lach en gevoel voor humor door Rixt. Een tournedos, mals en met geen enkele zeen, in een heerlijke port saus met roze peperkorrels precies goed medium bereid. Het nagerecht was uiterst bijzonder. Geen standaard opties op de kaart zoals zoveel restaurants, uiterst saai, hebben. Maar rabarber vergezeld met heerlijke vruchten. Zoals pitahaya, een vrucht van cactussen uit Midden-America en aardbeien. De gember crème vormde de scheiding tussen de rabarber en de vruchten. Een sensationele smaak combinatie. Restaurant Royaal, gelegen naast de iconische toegangspoort van Sneek ligt buiten het centrum, maar wordt een vast adres wanneer ik Sneek bezoek.

What a lovely cosy place,I was there on my own but it seems like a great place for groups aswell.
