Really nice and historic bakery in Schagen which is family-run. It is great to see the different generations involved in the project. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast there (approximately 11 euros). They make toasted sandwiches and we had two with brown bread one. We had a ham and cheese sambo and a ham, cheese and pesto one. The bread was super tasty and definitely showed the quality of the home-made produce. Their coffee is quite average. The four stars are because they don't offer any alternatives to cow milk and they handle the products without gloves or tools - which isn't very hygienic, especially considering they also handle money. Read moreIn my opinion this is the best bakery of Schagen. When you are looking for daily fresh artisanal bread, this is the place to be. They also have a good baguette and decent croissants.
There are some seats inside where you can enjoy a drink, breakfast or lunch. In the spring and summer, there are also tables available outside. The coffee is good and the traditional applepie is also very much worth the visit.
