Trattoria da GiGi — Restaurant in Sittard-Geleen

Absolutely horrendous experience. We ordered at 17:12pm and got 1 pizza, 1 pasta and 2 carpaccios. It says it will be delivered at 17:55pm but nothing so at 18:00 we called to ask what time we could expect our order. They tell us they just put the pizza in the oven and it would be max ten minutes. Half an hour later still nothing so we call again and again they say any minute now. The food finally arrives at 18:45 and the best part? They forgot the pasta. So we call again and they tell us it will be another 20 minutes for the pasta they forgot. Despite the wait I try to stay as unbiased as possible when reviewing the food so when I say this was quite possibly the worst carbonara I’ve ever had, I truly mean it. Overcooked noodles in a tasteless and grainy sauce with absolutely no flavour. The pizza was ok and the carpaccio was delicious. 2 hours wait and 47 euros for 2 good starters, some free apology bread and everything else to be mediocre or inedible? I think not. If I could give zero...

Zeker GEEN aanrader om te bestellen! Eten via eigen site besteld om 18.30, zou om 19.15 geleverd worden. Echter om 19.15 werden we gebeld dat het een half uur later zou worden, kan gebeuren, de bestelling zou 'er al in liggen'. Rond 20.00 wederom gebeld, ze waren er (alweer/nog steeds) mee bezig en om 20.15 zou het geleverd worden.. 20.30, nogmaals contact opgenomen. Toen kregen we de 'excuses' het was druk, dat kan, maar meerdere valse beloftes maken is dan niet nodig en dat het ieder moment bezorgd kan worden. Na 20min alweer(!!) Telefonisch contact opgenomen want, je verwacht het niet, nog altijd niks ontvangen. Gevraagd om de bestelling te annuleren, dit ging volgens de jongen aan de telefoon niet waarop we een beetje afgfewimpeld werden. Niet meedenken, geen tegemoetkoming, niks. Uiteindelijk kwam daar, 10 min na het laatste telefoontje het eten. De pizza, warm, maar met gitzwarte randen en het broodje vitello tonato was een broodje met carpaccio en tonijnmayo. Pizza viel qua smaak mee, tomatensaus overheerste te zeer. Het broodje was een flinke teleurstelling.

Came here 2 months ago. Decent Italian food. Spaghetti carbonara is pretty good. Risotto..hmm... rice with gravy and lots lots of cheese. That's all. Slightly overpriced.
