It’s a long time since I visited this place and forgot/missed to write a review. The service was good, the food brilliant, and the atmosphere even better. The staff were so good that they let us leave the premises without full payment as our credit cards were not accepted, and let us return later with the balance paid through their letter box. Café-Tipp: Fonteyn in Groede – einfach traumhaft!

Wer sagt, man muss unbedingt nach Sluis, war noch nicht in Groede! Dieses kleine, malerische Örtchen ist ein echter Geheimtipp – wunderschön, ruhig und total charmant. Wir sind mit dem Fahrrad hingefahren und haben im Café Fonteyn einen perfekten Stopp eingelegt.

Das Café ist genau unser Stil: gemütlich-modern mit liebevoll rustikalen Akzenten, einer angenehmen Atmosphäre und stilvollem Innenbereich. Ob drinnen oder draußen – man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Wir hatten das Glück, draußen bei strahlendem Wetter auf dem süßen Marktplatz zu sitzen.

Die Bedienung war super freundlich und aufmerksam, und auch die Besitzer waren vor Ort – sehr sympathisch und herzlich.

Das Highlight: die Apfeltaart mit Eis – unglaublich lecker, frisch und hausgemacht. Dazu ein Kaffee aus der Siebträgermaschine, wie er sein soll – kräftig, aromatisch und perfekt zubereitet.

good breakfast, but little small portion size. specially going by prizes, e.g.avocado toast with zalm cost 15 euro but it contains just 1 toast! Ontbijt compleet is 19 euro but also contain 1 toast. may be it's a new normal post corona, but I find it bit of cheesy.
