I don’t think it’s ok when you are finishing your dish and literally chewing the last piece, and the waiter comes and asks you to move to the next table because there is a group of four who need conveniently located 2 tables, one of which you are currently sitting at. When I asked to give me a couple of minutes to finish my dish (we were really preparing to leave), I heard that we need to move to the next table RIGHT NOW. Later on, at the cashier desk when I said to the same waiter that it’s not nice to behave like this with your guests, she replied that they are a small business. Sorry, you are not. You are a network. And in any kind of business you cannot ask your /sorry/ chewing client to move to another table RIGHT NOW. And then laugh when your client says she is not ok with that. Op een zondagmiddag rond 16.00 uur geweest voor een drankje en hapje. We kregen een tafel aan het raam aangewezen (en zouden dus naar buiten moeten kijken). Toch gevraagd om een andere plek. We konden aan een lange tafel zitten tegenover elkaar. Cappuccino was oké. Kurkuma latte ook maar kwam lauw aan, dus niet heel warm en lekker om te drinken (€4,75).

We moesten lang wachten op onze bestelling: brood met dipsauzen. Na zeker 20/25 minuten gewacht te hebben, gevraagd naar onze bestelling. We kregen alleen te horen dat de keuken het druk had en vroeg of we het wilde cancelen (?!). Toen wij zelf met het idee kwamen of ze het even wilde navragen in de keuken (status) gaf ze aan dat ze dat zou doen. Toen ze terugkwam zei ze dat het bijna klaar was. Nog even gewacht en ons brood met smeersels was er. Zag er goed en kleurrijk uit maat dit was echt de slechtste brood met smeersels die we hadden gegeten. Dit kwam doordat het desembrood (wat gewoon leek op simpel, geen vers brood) uit elkaar viel en koud was. Focaccia was lichtelijk verwarmd maar ook brokkelig en aan de droge kant. Dipjes van pesto, humus en paprika waren niet smaakvol en geen fijne combinatie met het brood.

Helaas kregen we ook geen servet, zout / peper / servies etc. Wat ook een vreemd aanvoelde was dat de dame eerst in het Engels tegen ons sprak en daarna weer in het Nederlands.

Tot slot bij de kassa aangeven over onze ervaring. Helaas hebben we wel moeten betalen voor het brood met smeersels (ook al was het echt zonde, omdat wij de helft hebben laten staan aangezien het niet te eten was). We kregen 2 kaartjes voor een gratis koffie of thee voor in het vervolg.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar op een zondag bij deze locatie in Den Haag. Het personeel, service en eten kan wat aandacht / training gebruiken voor een fijnere...

Friendly staff and my go to place for coffee breaks. Great to just sit in a corner or on their cosy sofa's to unwind and read the paper. The cappuchino they brew is of a nicely balanced coffee blend and it is well prepared. I recommend buying a bag of their espresso blend for at home. The coffee they serve in some of the other lunchrooms in the vicinity just miss the mark.. By the way: take a slice of their apple pie with that. It is simply delicious! Also a great place for...
