I came to Chalet ten Bosch last week and broke my tooth on a hard object in my uitsmijter. It seemed to be either glass, stone, or very hard plastic. This can happen of course, but the reaction of the woman whom I took to be the owner added insult to injury. When my boyfriend went to pay the bill, she suggested that I could have broken my tooth earlier and that she would have to ‘prove’ what had happened. Pressed on whether she was calling me a liar, she backed down somewhat and said that she was not, but that ‘people’ are capable of anything. Not quite the relaxing Sunday brunch that I had hoped for, breaking my tooth on something in my food, and then having it insinuated that I had planted it myself. I’m still eagerly awaiting the results of the ‘proving’ from them.
