Park Marlot — Attraction in The Hague

Landgoed Marlot is an estate in The Hague. The area borders the former country estate Reigersbergen which, with the Haagse Bos and the Malieveld , forms a green zone to the center of The Hague.

Near the house are some fruit walls, including a late seventeenth century snake wall, which have a protected status. A later owner of the Marlot estate, the Rotterdam politician Samuel van Hoogstraten, probably had a landscape-style park laid out in the western part of the estate between 1802 and 1828.

It is a lovely swirling park with small waters crossing through the park and many birds can be heard. There are enough benches to have a rest and it definitely has a calming effect of the mind.

This place is a very nice place to walk your dog/s, there is enough shade during the hot-summer sun and also some water for the dogs to swimm. When you enter the park there is a water tap to fill you water bottle or let the dog/s drink from. The park has a lot of trash bins and also seats to rest. Prachtig bosrijk natuurgebied met een hoge cultuurhistorische waarde waar je in alle rust mooie wandelingen of fietstochten kan maken.
