Café Bakker — Restaurant in Tilburg

We went to Cafe Bakker to get something to eat before heading to Ben Howard on Sunday 10th and we left quite disappointed.

The waiter was nice and the drinks came out fast. Their food menu seemed very limited (mostly deep fried snacks and burgers)

We ordered 2 burgers (chicken kimchi burger and a truffle burger) with a portion of fries to share. It took around 40 minutes for the food to get to our table, the truffle burger was cold (the patty was very thick and it felt rubbery) and the chicken kimchi burger was burning hot but the chicken was brown (like it had been forgotten in the oil) and the batter was falling apart. The fries were super dry too and overall our experience was not so nice.

Our waiter was lovely and we didn’t wait long for our drinks at all but a mcdonalds burger would have been a better...

Every year during Roadburn Festival, Cafe Bakker feels like a homecoming. The warmth and friendliness of the staff make it a place you’re always happy to return to. Their burgers are consistently excellent, truffless and the fat belly being the most delicious for us and just what you need to recharge. But it’s reallt more than just the food :) the music and the vibe of the place are an experience in themselves. It’s become a tradition we truly look forward to, and Cafe Bakker has firmly earned its place in our festival ritual...

First of all: Really good service, nice people, reasonable selection of beers, food was okay. I would give four stars, were it not for the prices...

8,80€ for a pint of Texels Skuumkoppe is a lot. 17,50€ for a burger with fries is just pure theft. The burger was okay. But. Just okay. The quality would justify maybe half the price. I've never paid that much for a very simple burger. Not even for a very fancy burger.
