Bakkerij Feenstra - Fenomini — Restaurant in Tynaarlo

Went here today for lunch with family. The atmosphere was nice, although the two different areas of the restaurant had very different styles, which felt a bit inconsistent. Service was slow and not very attentive, but still friendly. Unfortunately, one of our orders was forgotten, so one person was left without food for a while. Cutlery was also forgotten, and when it finally arrived it was dirty, so we had to ask for new ones.

The food itself was okay — I had the salmon fillet. However, the cream cheese completely overpowered the taste of the salmon. It was supposed to be served on an Italian bun, but it didn’t taste or feel like one — more like a corn roll, lacking the expected herbs and texture. On top of that, the bottom of the bun had gone soggy from water on the plate, which wasn’t very pleasant. A strawberry was placed on the side, which felt strange with a savory sandwich — the flavors of salmon and strawberry don’t really go together and it took away from the dish.

Overall, it’s a fine place if you just want to stop by for a coffee or something light, but I wouldn’t recommend...

My breakfast a double shot capuchino and a sandwich ham, cheese lots off crispy salat, tomato's, cucumber. And ekstra of this on the dish +some whipped fresh cheese. Tasted absolutely perfect. And peber on all tables . It is a large place with the possibility of two different views. Original interior and it is actually a small Museum. I like the old pictures on the wall from the olden days in this particular area. It is also a very inspiring Bakery shop. The kitchen looks very inspiring. It's open. You can look inside it and I wish I could eat some...

We kwamen er voor de ijsjes. Het was niet bijzonder druk, maar omdat de winkel een beetje vreemd ingericht is voor de schepijsbar, kan je als bezoeker niet zien welk ijs er beschikbaar is, totdat je aan de beurt bent, en daardoor wordt de rij erg lang, ondanks dat het niet druk hoeft te zijn. De medewerkers lopen ook erg elkaar in de weg, omdat het schepijs gewoon niet handig opgesteld is. Dan nu het ijs, we hebben veel vaker schepijs gegeten en dit was helaas niet bijzonder goed. Er zaten veel harde stukken ijs in het schepijs wat lijkt op veel bevroren water in het schepijs. Ik heb zeker wel kwalitatief hoogwaardiger schepijs gehad. Dit was prima voor het bedrag, maar niet het wachten in de rij, waard. Volgende keer zal ik wel elders eerst kijken voordat ik hier opnieuw in de rij zal staan voor de schepijs. Wat betreft de taartjes van de bakkerij, die waren erg lekker! Maar goed, ze zijn ook een bakkerij, wellicht moeten ze ook bij die categorie blijven. De zaak zag er erg mooi uit, mooi ruim zitten. Goed uitzicht, leuk dorpsaangezicht. Je kon de auto ook mooi achter de zaak parkeren. Voor de sfeer en bak koffie met taart is het een absolute aanrader. Voor het ijs zou ik...
