Manca Veldhoven — Restaurant in Veldhoven

Nice and modern looking restaurant in Veldhoven. The pizza’s were nice and the dough crunchy.

Unfortunately though, the service is not good. We made a reservation on the terrace but when we arrived it was full. We moved inside, which wasn’t a huge problem for us but ok, we reserved for outside..

It took about 15 to 20 minutes before they came with the menu. The drinks also took a while. Luckily the food arrived quite fast after we placed our order. They asked us 5 min after if everything was ok. After that we didnt saw anybody anymore, you couldnt order extra’s even if you’d want to.

After dinner when they finally came to our table (another 15 minutes after we finished) I asked for a coffee and the bill but clearly they forgot. It took another 10 to 15 minutes. It seems like they forget you are there, if the service would’ve been better they would’ve scored...

The tiramisu' was good, the service was good, the atmosphere quite nice.. .. but compared with when the restuarant was in Eindhoven, it is basically another restaurant, a pity. I had been in general (no longer) impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the dishes, having the feeling that the costs were not justified anymore.

Overall, from an above-average-Italian-restaurant with high prices but high quality (as it was in Eindhoven), it became a typical-overpriced-pretending-to-be-italian-but-not-at-all-restaurant.

But hey, this is my personal impression, based on my taste, I still see many positive reviews, so go for it.

I would at least suggest to increase the price of the "tagliere" and include the bread instead of ask people to order (and pay) it separately: "tagliere" is literally the wooden board to cut the bread, people expect to find the...

Came here for dinner and had a fantastic experience

The restaurant has a vey nice ambiance and a cozy bar. The food was excellent and so was the service.  Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. From the antipasti options we selected the Calamari Fritti to share. Perfect appetiser! Afterwards I had the Pizza Quattro Formaggi which was awesome. My husband had the Pizza Nduja e Burrata which was also very tasty and the spicy flavor was so good! For dessert we shared a delicious homemade tiramisu.

Highly recommend! Definitely...
