De Achtertuin Arcen — Restaurant in Venlo

We were seated with a group of 10 and asked to order drinks. Only after we ordered drinks the staff informed us we couldn’t order lunch, because we were a too big group. We tried if we could make it work, I.e. if we ordered in groups so they didn’t have to serve out all plates at once but their decision was final. We felt tricked into ordering drinks first and only then hearing we couldn’t get food. This was during lunch time on a Sunday. We made it clear that we didn’t like the situation. Eine Oase der Inspiration im Café De Achterthuin

Es gibt Orte, die mehr sind als nur ein Café. Das Café de Achtertuin in Arcen bei Venlo ist für mich so ein Ort, der mich mit seiner besonderen Atmosphäre und seinem guten Stil sofort in seinen Bann zieht. Sobald ich den gemütlichen Innenbereich betrete oder mich auf die Terrasse mit Blick auf die Maas begebe, tauche ich in eine Atmosphäre ein, die eine eigene Produktivität zu entfaltet, die ich oft nur in Cafés mit diesem Stil erlebe.

Trotz der geselligen Atmosphäre fühle ich mich im Café De Achtertuin nie gehetzt. Ich kann stundenlang verweilen, sei es mit einem guten Buch, beim Arbeiten an kreativen Projekten oder einfach im Gespräch mit den freundlichen Gästen und dem aufmerksamen Personal.
