IJzeren Man Vught — Restaurant in Vught

We were waiting for our order to be taken while someone who seems to be the manager pushed the sliding windows twice on my shoulder without saying sorry or acknowledging our existence. Left me frustrated but whatever. We stayed for brunch and drinks and bought a bottle of water. We wanted to take it with us but we forgot it. I went back to buy another bottle for takeaway. Even tho they remembered us they refused to sell it. The guy at the door said “you can go to a supermarket” in an arrogant tone of voice. It’s a cute looking place but the lack of customer oriented mindset puts you off for sure. We had a reservation for three to celebrate my friend birthday yesterday, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

After we were finally seated, we waited for over an hour and a half for our food. Our order seemed to have been forgotten, and despite telling our waiter about the long wait, we didn't see any improvement.

No one came to check on us for drinks during our entire time there. While the food was good once it arrived, the extremely poor service completely overshadowed it.

Relaxing place. Good food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Free parking. Was surprised that this place was so empty even though it being a hot day. Staff told us they didn't have enough staff members to allow us to have dinner which felt a bit weird as there were loads of staff members, loads of tables available and we could still sit down, order drinks and snacks which were served with minutes.
