Ristorante La Forchetta — Restaurant in Zaanstad

Second time to this restaurant. First time was 5/5. Today was 3/5. 3 weeks in between these two visits.

Highly recommend: Bruschetta Mix, CASERECCE AL POLLO PESTO, and Pizza

Not Recommend: Lemonade (if you ask for Limonata, be warned it is NOT sparkling and NOT sour, just sweet) and pasta. Today we decided to give pasta a try, had 2x spagetti aglio e olio and 1x sapori di mare, it was either over cooked or unevenly cooked for some reason on all 3 pasta dishes. Sapori also had an unopened clam (???). Lemon Veal was also not exciting. Disappointing.

Personal preference recommendation: Spagetti aglio e olio comes with tomatos and has less of a garlic punch in my opinion, not something for us but I can imagine someone who would prefer this.

We also recommend checking the contents of the pizza box if you do want to take your left over pizza home with you, as it might come in folded (???)

If you made a reservation and someone couldn't make it, we also recommend to communicate this fact to not only at the door when you arrive, but to ALL the staff in the house who happens to serve you to avoid being lectured about taking up more space than needed.

A very nice and cozy little Italian restaurant. I visited this place with my family and was greeted by a friendly waitress. The restaurant has several Italian paintings and pictures hanging on the walls and some cozy looking lamps. All with all, it was a cozy looking restaurant and it had friendly staff. I discovered this restaurant while browsing Google Maps and decided to give it a try based on the glowing reviews—and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming.
