The food was mediocre, and so was the service. The only saving grace was the cute decor of the restaurant.
The scampi was supposed to be peeled, it wasn't. The risotto was lumpy and dry, very flavourless. The risotto, which on the menu said it would have penny bun and oyster mushrooms, only had a smattering of regular champignons. When mentioned, it was said that they were changing the menu but hadn't changed the physical cards yet. This was going to happen in 2 weeks, they said. The pizza was supposed to have Spanish peppers, but this was just some dabs of hot sauce. At least the crust and other toppings were tasty. The Carbonara was definitely not traditional Carbonara, but just some bacon bits and cream. Nearing the end of our dinner, plates were already being taken while others were still finishing their food. This also happened to some drinks. Halfway through dinner the lights were turned off in the empty half of the restaurant. Paper towels in the toilets ran out. Nearing the end of our main course the staff started sweeping and cleaning, even around our table, making us feel uncomfortable and as if we weren't welcome to stay longer. (This was around 9PM) After everything the host offered us some limoncello on the house, because he probably noticed that our moods had soured a bit. This was, however, too little, too late.
Overall, would definitely not recommend, sadly. Had heard great things about this place from relatives...

Rip off! Gisteren hier wezen eten, aan het eind van de avond kwamen tot onze verrassing dat de 50% korting alleen van toepassing is op de pizza en pasta alleen! Ik zei dat we hebben gereserveerd op het hele a la carte menu. Maar hij kon niet aantonen dat het alleen op pizza en pasta is en zei dat ik zelf contact moet opnemen met de Fork, omdat hij volgens hem al geprobeerd heeft om dat op de site van de fork aan te passen maar dat niet lukte. Ik gaf hem de voordeel van de twijfel en vandaag contact opgenomen met de fork). De Fork bevestigd dat het 50% op het gehele menu kaart is!
Als ik terugdenk is alles met opzet gedaan, bijvoorbeeld. Bij de vorige tafel werd gevraagd of men cash of pas wilde betalen. Ze zeiden bij pas dat ze naar de kassa mogen lopen. Bij ons is dat niet gevraagd en we mochten gelijk naar de kassa lopen , dit omdat ze wilden vermijden dat deze confrontatie door andere klanten gezien wordt, die achterin de restaurant geplaatst werden. Geen nota meegegeven!
Andere dingen die ik aanvankelijk niet eens wilde noemen zijn. Theezakje niet meegegeven bij het water, Tafel half gedekt, Bord wordt meegenomen terwijl de andere nog aan eten is. Toilet licht bij de heren doet het niet, ook geen schakelaar aanwezig. Half van het wisselgeld wordt op de grond gegooid.
In ieder geval denken we dat het niet slim is van ze om een paar euro's extra te verdienen hiermee als ze hiermee een slechte review riskeren. Helaas denk ik dat het toch een verlies van het restaurant is. :)
Rip off! Had dinner here yesterday, at the end of the evening we were surprised that the 50% discount only applies to pizza and pasta alone! I said we have made reservations on the entire a la carte menu. When I think back, everything was done on purpose, for example. At the previous table they were asked whether they wanted to pay in cash or card. They said when they passed that they could walk to the cash register. No invoice provided!
Other things I didn't even want to mention at first are. Tea bag not given with the water, Table half covered, Plate is taken away while the other is still eating. The men's toilet light does not work, and there is no switch. Half of the change is thrown on the ground.
In any case, we don't think it's smart for them to earn a few extra euros if they risk a bad review. Unfortunately, I think it's still a loss for the...

While ordering, the owner said the final bill needs to be more than EUR 160 to get 50% discount. We politely said that we can not eat this much food therefore we are okay without discount. While eating food the owner disturbed us many times to cancel The Fork booking probably because he is thought that we will complain to TheFork about discount. We did not like the constant badgering and left after the main course. While paying the bill, first the owner said he will charge us minimum EUR 160 bill and then was angry at us for not cancelling the booking and threatened to ban us from restaurant.
