I purchased a chicken on rice meal, my partner purchased a lamb wrap, and we also got a fried chicken meal too. All to takeaway. Once we got home to eat, we were met with completely off elements of the food which ruined our respective meals. My partner’s lamb was all good but we both found the hummus to be off. It smelt and tasted sour – nothing like how hummus should be. The chicken on rice was really dry. Along with the veges that looked as though they were left sitting out the whole day with no cover whatsoever. Garlic yoghurt is totally off and tasted like blue cheese!!! I thought I was losing my mind at first, so I went to google and read some old reviews which totally validated my claim! Really buzzy because the one entry review made by Andrew Gallie precisely described what I experienced! I am typically the kind of person who can put my head down and eat what’s on my plate even if it is below average, as I hate throwing food away. However for this particular meal, after one bite I had to discard it as I didn’t want an upset tummy. Completely breaks my heart considering it was $18 – an average price I’d pay for a chicken kebab on rice however there are far better kebab places out there that live up to this price. From reading some more of the previous reviews I am quite sad to see CONSISTENT PATTERNS of the store serving expired/off/rotten hummus and certain sauces. It’s a bit sad really. The service of the place was superb and I was met with such hospitable and kind service. As I waited for my food I was real keen to eat and support their business. Unfortunately, it’s so upsetting that the meal was inedible and quite frankly unsafe to serve to customers. On the bright side fried chicken is friend chicken – was so glad I got it too (in hopes to save it for lunch tomorrow – never mind that) so I just had that instead to appease my appetite. Cannot guarantee the hygiene of this place / health and safety in general. Very sadly not...
Read moreWent to Evan's Kebab for a quick lunch today. I ordered the mixed (chicken and lamb) on rice and my partner ordered the fried chicken and chips. The service was nice and they were friendly.
However, the hygiene of the place doesn't seem great. There were a lot of flies in the shop and they were in the vegetable case. There was no door/lid to close where the prepped veges were sitting. Flies were flying around in it and sitting on it. The owner saw that I noticed and tried to wave them away and kept looking to see if I was still looking. When I got the food, the veggies were room temp/warm and looked like they were sitting out all day. I didn't eat the veggies at all.
The floor was really dirty as well and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I was really put off eating my food but I couldn't back out because we already ordered and paid for it.
I ended up eating the meat and rice which was really average. The rice was fine, the meat was okay. The sauces were good but the Hummus didn't taste very nice. The chips were made fresh, so that was good. The chicken was average.
I wouldn't recommend going there, and we definitely won't...
Read moreJust today morning I visited this place for lunch. First of all the lady who works there is so rude . I ordered two drum and chips, she didn't mention about large or small chips and I don't even know what's their small and large chips looks like .
I got my order. Opened it and there was only 1 drum , 1 thigh , and small amount of chip. For that she charged me 15$
I went back I said I asked for two drums and chips she said it's 15$ for 2 drums and she said she gave me large chips .
All I can say is she charged me more money and when I went back and told her about the issue she started aggressive.
Very rude behavior. I wouldn't recommend this...
