The Coffee Club Eastridge — Restaurant in Ōrākei

It's been a long time since I’ve eaten at this particular branch, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I visited over the weekend and walked into an almost empty East Ridge Coffee Club, where three staff members were standing behind the counter chatting away. Not a good start. The tables were filthy, and the cutlery and water glasses were still dirty. There were no water cups or basic things available, so we had to continuously ask for everything, instead of the staff doing what they’re supposed to do.

I had one simple request when I ordered—to have the sauce on the side, since coffee clubs tend to go crazy with it. I repeated myself just to be sure, but when the meal came out, it was drowned in sauce. When I brought it to the staff member’s attention, her response was, "Do you want MORE?" No, I wanted less, which is why I asked for it on the side in the first place.

The food was absolutely dreadful—huge chunks of bread with a tiny egg on each. Honestly, it was terrible. My kids couldn't even finish theirs, so we took the food home to give to the dog, that’s how bad it was. The lack of service, cleanliness, and overall poor experience made this by far the worst branch and cafe I've ever been to.

Wow. Where do I begin?... I ordered their most expensive breakfast, and they came half an hour later to tell me the steak is frozen, so they’ll give me brisket instead. Ok sure. Breakfast finally arrives, everything SUCKS. The eggs are TINY, the size of quail eggs with no yolk in sight. Tomatoes are dried up, brisket is nothing like brisket should be, everything is awful, and for $24! I asked for a free smoothie, was denied, then they decided to give it to me. I couldn’t believe it, but they can’t even make a smoothie. Both my friend’s and my smoothies were both bland, no sweetness, no flavour. Frozen purple water. Had a Angus beef and bacon burger. Was a decent burger. Waited 10mins for my burger. Thought my caramel milkshake would come before my burger but had to ask where it was. 2 female staff members wondered off, only one staff member behind the counter and when the other 2 staff members come back they were busy talking to each other rather then helping. Even though she was busy doing other duties they still got her to take orders and clear tables while they were hiding in the kitchen. Tables weren't set again for other customers, tables still had dirty dishes on them, one staff member was on her phone behind the counter. Been to other Coffee Clubs and this by far was the worsr I've been to....
