Oswalds Cafe — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Oswalds is a cute little cafe in Omokoroa. My wife and I popped into it for lunch. My wife ordered from the cabinet. I ordered from the menu. Not all of the menu options are available at all times, which is a shame, as my wife has a kryptonite tooth for waffles.

We ordered white chocolate mochas which were very nice and a welcome twist on classic coffee flavours. You've got to stand out somehow.

Would I go back to Oswalds? Sure, but only because other places aren't open. The biggest challenge facing this cafe is atmosphere. They don't have a big premises, a strong made-to-order menu, or much of a vibe. At some point good coffee and food just isn't enough to grab people by the ghoulies. A great little cafe, service with a smile. Pastries (sweet and savoury) are all made on-site and are delicious. Great coffees and over all very reasonable pricing. Also a big bonus is they are open really early in the morning (around 6.30 am) which is great for getting a good wake-up caffeine hit before venturing onto the highway. Cutest cafe, stopped in this morning to get a coffee and a bite to eat and will absolutely be coming back! service was friendly and fast, coffees and food were yummy and the cheese scones were so good we went back and got another! excited to come back when we are over these ways next, definitely recommend stopping in here as everything about the experience was a pleasure. thankyou guys for brightening...
