So gutted with our experience last night.

We are new to Darfield and we're excited to experience our new community.

Walked and it felt so lovely and welcoming we were shown to our table and it stopped there. We waited for at least half a hour to be served, we had to ask so eone. Waited almost an hour for food and no one came to check on us, we had long finished drinks so had to go back to ask for help. We received apologies with excuses. Food finally came and wow, the good was amazing. It was that good we were getting hopefully again. After we finished eating it was another 15 to 20 mins and no one had come to us to Check in. We wanted desert but decided to pay and leave.

We felt unwelcome and so ignored Saw staff chatting away to other locals but we're felt like we did not belong.

One waiter with a messy beard was sticking it in people's ears and another waiter has dirty looking hair.

My wife had the mushroom linguini and I had the blue cod. The mushroom linguini was a good size with plenty of mushroom and chicken, albeit it could have been more seasoned.

My blue cod dish came with two small pieces of blue cod (slightly smaller than two sausages), a potato stack and some vegetables. The potato stack looked good but was a little bland, and the vegetables were fine. I think the biggest disappointment was the two small pieces of fish I was served. 6pm on New Years eve and no Salmon available, and one lamb shoulder, so a basic steak meal was purchased. We wanted to finish with dessert but the choice was also unavailable. Dinner for what it was wasn't nearly as good as I can cook at home. The potatoes needed something to moisten them as twice cooked 'new?' potatoes became dry. The broccoli and cauliflower were overdone and would have benefitted from a cheese sauce, spring carrots were the highlight on my plate! Nice jus with the steak!
