Tucked away on a busy intersection, Kids Bakery is one of those local gems that you might walk past without noticing—but trust me, it’s worth the stop. Popular with students, workers, and long-time locals, this bakery has a steady stream of regulars every day.
While the shop offers a wide range of breads, pastries, and quick bites, my personal favourite is their Steak and Pepper Pie. It’s not the shop’s signature item, but it’s the one I keep coming back for. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the inside is packed with tender chunks of beef, slow-cooked to perfection. The black pepper gives it just the right kick—flavourful but not overwhelming. It’s comforting, hearty, and just really satisfying.
Beyond that, the prices are super reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the vibe is very down-to-earth. It’s the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your daily routine.
If you’re ever passing through that corner, stop in and grab a pie. Who knows—you might just find your new...
Read moreI have never written a review before as I always come here to the kids bakery for a meal with my family. Usually once a month but I’ve never had such bad service. Usually there’s a guy that serves at the till and he’s so lovely but today the girl who delt with me this morning just didn’t look like she wanted to be there. I came in at 9:30 ordered a toastie from a young girl and she got my order wrong which I didn’t mind but it’s the fact she didn’t apologise which then I felt the need to tell her sorry because I felt bad for her needing to change it. Not once did she even smile she just took the plate and walked away. I am a manager at a restaurant and to me this was awful. I’m sorry for leaving a review but it just wasn’t a good start to my day if she just simply smiled and apologised I would’ve understood as everyone makes mistakes. I will still come back as this is my favourite place and I live down the road but I am just very...

There was another woman sitting at the next table that I overheard having a conversation with them and had the same issue with her order taken too long to arrive as well. Then halfway through my breakfast one of the staff came over and apologised for overcharging me, and gave me the cash difference. Then a few mins later, while I was still eating, the same staff member came over and told me she got it wrong and wanted the money back. Very embarrassing to deal with this while I’m wanting to sit and enjoy my breakfast. The staff seriously need training how to deal with the public!!! Lesson learned, not...
