Cafe Olive — Restaurant in Hamilton

Went with coffee group. The coffee was nice but that was all.

I got " dairy free" date scone, which I questioned but was assured was nice. It was not! It was made with diced dry dates and was tasteless. Could have been used as a paper weight.

Others had...a dry muffin,.... a tiny piece of cake which cost over $7.00 and the lady thought was twice the size when ordering and a bite sized apple turnover for $3.50 which was okay. Conclusion.....if you just want coffee, fine. However if you want something nice to go with it,...

Olive Cafe is a hidden gem with irresistible treats! Their delectable muffins are always fresh and bursting with goodness! Thanks for our early Mum’s day brunch last Saturday. The food was tasty and generous, the staff lovely. But what stood out was how your team helped when my father-in-law had a ‘moment’ while leaving. Apart from customers who assisted the staff knew exactly what he needed (low blood pressure) so the juice with ice (no charge) did the trick and he restarted shortly thereafter. You wouldn’t take our $10 tip to cover the juice and help so we will drop that into a charity tin....
