I just wanted to share the experience that my partner and I had today at Robert Harris. First of all in the line we were skipped over in asking for my order. When we eventually got our order in my partner was asked if he wanted sauce which he said yes to but was not informed of this being an up charge (small but sneaky). I had ordered a tea and the french toast. My teapot and cup/saucer which were both dirty (have included images). Which got taken away with no response when I said that they were dirty. New ones got brought out and everything is fine until my french toast came out, which a. looked like it had cat food just put on top and b. was definitely not made with the brioche bread promised on the menu but instead made with normal thin bread. I clarified if it was brioche and got told that they changed the bread which originally shows on the website. I got a refund in the end because felt lied to and didn’t want to continue eating there. Overall I would not be back nor would recommend this place to anyone based on the service and food. Would also be weary for anyone getting other hot drinks that you can’t see the bottom off which the cups...
Read moreSpent $25 at Robert Harris $14.90 for 2 slices of toast and 2eggs. I only wanted 1 but wanted baked beans instead. They took off 1 egg but still charged full price plus the $5 for the beans. I had to butter my own toast and the water from the egg soaked into the napkin. To top it off the food was Luke warm. Not a great meal for the price. But the egg was cooked perfectly nice and runny. Beans tasted great. The coffee was the saving grace. The waitresses were very pleasant. The lemon slice was yum and my 2nd coffee. PLEASE NOTE THE MANAGER RECTIFIED THE MIX UP WITH THE CHARGES ON MY MEAL. AS I SAID EVERYTHING...
Read moreMy partner n I went there last week for the 1st time. We both ordered the big breakfast, my eggs scrambled n my partners poached. I could tell straight away once in front of me the eggs had been done in the microwave and were actually over cooked. The white and yellow of the eggs had separated, it looked like plastic n rubber and had no taste at all. My partner cut into his poached eggs and all this white liquid gushed out filling his plate and spread all over the rest of his breakfast which he could not eat. The toasted bread was stone cold and hard as a rock, which matched the butter, which came out...
