Turkish Kebab Stop — Restaurant in Hamilton

Digustng hygiene practices by a particular worker, wearing a blue shirt in the image provided, no gloves worn while preparing my order, he wiped his fingers on a dish cloth sitting on the counter then I saw those same fingers touch the inside of my takeaway container. When I questioned him and asked that he start my order from scratch with gloves on he had the audacity to argue with me refused to complete my order and refunded me with cash, (more germs added to his hands) He then proceeded to prepare a meal for another customer with no gloves, nor did he wash his hands. The worst customer service. His co-worker defended his practice and claimed to be the owner, he clearly lied. I have frequented this shop many times I live locally and know who the real owner is. Appalling service and disgusting practices. I will be reporting...

The kebabs were average. The chicken was quite dry and we couldn't enjoy the lamb at all because it was way too dry and salty. For 17.50 per regular size portion, I expected more quality and quantity, and was let down in both regards. The large size was just enough for 2 adults who were not too hungry, but again the quality of the food wasn't there. The fillafal kebab lacked taste and we could only eat half of it due to the utter lack of taste. Portion size for chips is very generous, and we're tasty (they don't come with any dips).

One positive was that their online order system was easy to use and there was no difference in pricing between in-store/phone order vs online. Glad to see they got at least that right!

FOOD POISIONING. After not eating all day I bought a Chicken kabab. I was in bed sick for two days after. I called the owner as a courtesy call to let her know, not expecting much could be done. She told me she didn't have time for my call, I was a liar, I bought the kabab else ware, and that I needed to prove to her on cctv that I bought it from her. I wont be doing that, nor will I be going back. Edit* After leaving this review the owner proceeded to take my personal details and post them on their facebook page. Very unprofessional. I hope they dont treat all their customers this way. Such a shame as the staff were great to deal with, Just the owner really lets...
