Cafe Anatolia Hastings — Restaurant in Hawke's Bay

My kebab was supposed to have double satay and extra cheese unfortunately I couldn’t taste either of them and it was only a small kebab as for the baclava that I purchased the fact that it was dry and hard prompted me to leave this review it was nothing like the baclava I have at the other Turkish kebab shop in town which was moist and soft and beautiful I’m not sure if these people are Turkish but that is not backava and maybe you should put more sauce on the kebab when somebody asks for extra sauce and actually put a proper serving of cheese on when extra cheese is asked for and charged for. Edited: Ordered on a time where it is not a peak time and I still needed to wait for 10 minutes despite me coming in 10 mins late because I did not want to wait in store. Order was a 1:30pm pick up, got it at 1:43 pm.

What's the point of ordering online with a specific time to be picked up when the order is prepared at the specified pick up time?

Seems like poor time management and staffing to me.

In addition, inconsistency of food taste and preparations. No cutlery or serviettes in the takeaway bag, we suppose to eat the Iskender with our hands. 🤔😏

It's hard to rate this accurately as the food was really good but the experience was so uncomfortable. The person who I think is the manager (long blond hair in a plait) is so rude to her staff it made it really hard to witness. Her three younger staff members were all working incredibly hard in busy and difficult circumstances and doing a great job but her cutting remarks and putting down of them and customers, who were quite rightly just wondering how far away their long awaited food was and being polite about it, was just so far from OK. Everyone could hear and it was super awkward...we couldn't wait to leave and felt so bad for the poor staff who had to work in that...
