Better Burger Manawa Bay — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

I recently visited this Better Burger store, and I had a great overall experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I especially loved their concept of using hand-cut potato fries 🍟🥔and preparing everything fresh—no frozen 🍅 items . It’s clear they prioritize quality.

The only thing to note is that the waiting time was a bit longer compared to other burger places, but that’s understandable given their "Fresh & Never Frozen" approach. The wait was worth it, as the food tasted amazing. Plus, the atmosphere in the center made the time pass enjoyably👌🍔🍟.

I wanted to share my experience from my recent visit to Manawa Bay Better Burger. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. The Buffalo wings were overcooked, and I found some pieces to be jsut fried dough, which was disappointing. Additionally, the burger was quite dry and had an unusual aftertaste that I couldn’t quite place. Given the reputation of Better Burger, I expected a much better meal.

Waited almost 30 minutes for our food which was just two burgers, chips and fried chicken with drinks. Given the wrong juice. The chips were nice and the beef burger was ok. Husband had the chicken burger which he said was absolutely tasteless (I see from previous reviews we aren’t the first people to say this) and my sons fried chicken was dry and overcooked with very little flavour in the coating - this might have been because it was overdone.
