Fantastic service and big tasty slap-up breakfasts served in this beautiful cafe with a wonderful, sprawling back garden. The staff are so lovely - warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The food is good - perfectly poached eggs, generously sized delicious sausages and quality ingredients. The only exception was the hash brown - they were the frozen kind. The coffee was OK - well made but not to my taste. The selection is amazing - smoothies, pastries, pancakes, eggs Benedict, florentine and a delectable selectable full English. The decor is really cute - heavy wood, booths and a dining room with stained glass windows in the back. It’s really worth a stop in. The back garden is gorgeous - flowering vines, winding pathways, lush foliage with a backdrop distant rolling...

So pleased we called in for lunch on our way through. Was impressed with the availability of what was on offer there was plenty of cabinet food options and it didn't take long for our drinks and cooked meals to come to the table. There were options for seating also indoors/outdoors booths etc. The cafe was clean and staff friendly and well presented. An abundance of food options for all meal times and diets. The sandpit and kids toys were an added bonus. Will definitely be visiting again if you haven't been before I strongly suggest you do, I can guarantee you won't be...

Loved the booth seating (great way to keep the kids in seats) Friendly staff with great smiles, even during the lunch rush. The personal touch from the barista confirming chocolate or cinnamon was lovely. Music wasn't too loud but gave good atmosphere. The young girls at the counter were lovely and was great to be acknowledged when they got a little busy away from the counter. Small area of toys down the back was good and the nice open but fenced space after being closed in with kids travelling was great to let them run about with fresh air safely.

LOADED WEDGES...

It was getting to the end of the Cafe day. The chef was still able to cook some things for us. Sorry we ate the food before taking photos. Our food was so delicious and fresh. Lots of homemade relish, jams, lemon curd my favorite to buy. Lovely staff made our day. Recommended places to visit while around Raetihi. Beautiful old fashioned buildings.
